About the Band
Best known as a local Long Beach Hip Hop Group formed in 2009 by the collaborative efforts of Producer Ill2lectual The Sound Cultivator and Long time collaborator & friend lyricist ILLIstic.
Ill2lectual who has worked with notable artist such as Illogic, 2mex, Kristoff Krane and more, methodically carves and shapes the backdrop of an Alternative Boom-Bap aesthetic, filled with his unique style of heavy drums, deep synths & rhythms inspired by jazz, rock and reggae providing ILListic the space to show his masterful style, delivery and perspective as a lyricist/songwriter
Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions Offering a style all their own.

Long Beach, California duo AJCKS (Acid Jackson) have dropped a new video “OBSRVTN” this morning. Filmed in the bowels of a 100 plus year old industrial building, the atmospheric space reflects emcee Illistic’s observations on society. The spacey synth and snapping drum instrumental is provided by his AJCKS partner Ill2lectual The Sound Cultivator and the video itself is directed by legendary underground peer, Illogic.
